2nd Prize – Hand crafted Greenland paddle - www.angleseystick.com

When?  Monday May 6th  2013

Where?  Holyhead, Anglesey UK

Sea Kayaking UK, together with Marc Martin Alcober of Sea Kayaking Spain will be bringing the Anglesey Inuit Games back to Holyhead for the 3rd Annual Event.

The aim of these games is to bring the Greenland culture, way of life and especially show respect and find meaning in everything that Greenland people had to do to survive with a kayak.

Competition is competition, but we can’t forget coexistence, respect for the opposition, and learning the environment.

The third edition of these Inuit games will be framed within the 30th anniversary of Sea Kayaking UK Symposium and will be a full day of games, with three important tests for each participant. The middle distance race (3 to 3.5 NM), throwing harpoon (accuracy) and rolling competition will follow the rules of the Greenlanders games. The score is the same, but more score will be added if the participant knows the name of kallallillut roll.

Trophy for first 3 places.

Token prize for each participant.  Entries must be made in advance and will be limited to only 20.

Prize giving and party night with LIVE music from “SILVERBACK”!

There is a nominal entry fee to this event and is run as an entirely independent event to the Anglesey symposium.
